Sky @ Friday, January 29th 2010, 9:30 PM Sketch of a random character I based off of Dustfinger from Inkheart, I drew this to give myself an excuse to post this snippet: There was a slam on the door, as to say 'Get out of the way' before it swung open, it was Basta, “what was he doing here?” Darius thought, a stream of fear went down his spine, he stayed silent, no matter how much he wanted to speak up. “I was told to fetch you.” Basta said with a snarl, “Capricorn's decided 'e wants you to read something.” His voice was dark, and cold, but not without a note of worry, as if fearing what Capricorn wanted. Darius got the chills slightly, but tried to suppress it, “Wh-wh-What does he want?” Darius always stuttered when he was scared, “I-I mean for me to read?” “How am I to know?” Basta gave another snarl, so loud it made Darius jump, though, he usually jumped when Basta talked to him. Darius nodded and shuddered, Basta grabbed his arms and led him down the steps, prodding his back when he slowed down, Darius yelped a bit when Basta kneed him in the back, he was afraid to stop and catch his breath, so continued walking. When they were down the stairs, Darius was brought to the church, “What took so long?” Capricorn was calm, sitting in his thrown, looking at the young Silvertongue, Darius, he was scrony, short, he had glasses, Capricorn shook his head in disappointment. “He's a slow one,” Basta held his knife to Darius' throat from behind, “I'll give 'Im that much.” There's more, PM me if you want to read it.
